Be careful! But how fun it is to jog slowly not to slip on the icy grass.

Cold and crisp winter day in Michigan.

Feeling the air of nature, by jogging....and walking in a forest park.

Feel quite refreshed.

The power of nature is overwhelming. I realize how small I am.

The lake is frozen hard.

He, who lives in Michigan, tells me it's safe to stand on the frozen lake today.

Michigan means "large lake." There are a great number of lakes in Michigan, and small lakes are also seen here and there, everywhere.

The Great Lakes State!

His everyday Kroger is my daily life.

Waking in a forest park together, going grocery shopping together, and laughing together...

My heart is here in Michigan.

You wanna come? Rochester Mills BEER - The big, lively brewpub in Rochester, Michigan

Collie says we came here once before. I am not sure whether this is a place I came before, but....
it might be a place we ordered a big nachos plate. If the place is it, it is more than 10 years ago.

HOT SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP for Appetizers

A delicious combination of spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic & cheese baked to perfection, served with tortilla chips & fresh bread


It is very voluminous for me!  Although Collie ordered quickly as an appetizer. He is a cheese lover.

After we enjoyed the big, bright light show in Downtown Rochester, we came to this authentic beer restaurant also in Rochester.

It started in 1998 and since then, has provided a wide selection of handcrafted Lagers and Ales.

I ordered beer for myself. Like I always do. Cold night on January 1st, still, I ordered because I didn't want to miss the chance of tasting Rochester brewery Beer. And yes, it was great!

The beer restaurant is preserving the original character of the building. I liked the original hardwood floors.

Surprisingly, that was a very big dish. (@@)  He said he wanted something which would give him energy because it was a long day and he was starving, however, half of it became "to go".

When he was putting the leftovers into a to go box, I found there was a little more on the plate, and I pointed it out.   "I can't, Rose!"

I didn't mean it, but how I was helpless. I shouldn't have said anything because it's his way and his food. I learned from my mistakes.

A broad selection of eclectic American cuisine as well as various draft beer is the reason all people love to come here. And of course a friendly atmosphere.

Exposed brick walls are also the original character of the building. This is a great place I'd like to come again.

Rochester is one of the charming cities I love in Michigan.

I like people who have good manners. For example, people who can reply with some words even if they can't accept the invitations. Sometimes, no reply is said to be one kind of the answer to say "no". But, replying is a reflection of courteous people. Choosing a good friend is to being an attractive woman for a partner, too.

I'd like to apply what I have learned to the future.  Things will turn out fine!       ⭐︎Rose⭐︎

THE BIG, BRIGHT LIGHT SHOW in Downtown Rochester on January 1st, 2019

I'm not really sure when was the last time I saw THE BIG, BRIGHT LIGHT SHOW in Rochester, Michigan. More than ten years ago? It was impressive, however, was it as gorgeous as this time??
It must have got larger in scale. Collie agreed to me. He is a man. He probably doesn't come by Downtown Rochester only to see the light even he lives in Michigan.

Rochester is a town I'd like to live in. Somehow I just thought like that.

Look, houses on a back alley are lighted up, too.  How pretty!

The buildings in Downtown Rochester were covered with more than million points of colorful light. Each color gives an additional charm to Rochester at night.

The display was lit every evening (5pm-Midnight) during November 19 - January 6, 2019.

I hope you imagine how I was thrilled with the larger-scale light show in Downtown Rochester.

A Lovely Date on New Year's Day 2019

I didn't know at that time, however, -looking back - it was a special day between us.

January 1st in 2019

Collie drove me to the house of Collie's mom. Happy New Year!, and good to see you again...

She offered me such lovely baked goods😍  Her neighbor - also Polish American - made a treat for her.  I am lucky to share her good luck!

Collie's mom is the gentlest woman I've ever seen. I never have to be tense when I see her. She always gives me a warm welcome. She is full of good intentions.

Less sweet pies and cakes in Polish style are truly my taste. It is not only healthy, but also a really hearty treat.

I couldn't help having each piece of raspberry pie and pumpkin pie💕  That was made in heaven. I wished to taste a cupcake too, but...I refrained from eating more..

Then we drove (I didn't drive, though😛) to Somerset Collection, which is a luxury shopping mall located in Metro Detroit, in Troy.

Dear ladies, wear what makes you happy, whatever other people around you say! As long as it's sold, YOU CAN WEAR IT if you love it.

This time, Collie bought me a Burgundy jacket in The North Face section. Impressed, it was a cool design to be able to coordinate with a chic office look. Functional as an outdoor jacket, yet elegant. It is a kind of clothes that makes me feel uplifted.

In the evening, we headed for Rochester. The lights far away are what I was longing for...

Oh..!!! These are the Rochester lights that have always been in my heart. I was in a tremor of delight. Thanks for taking me here. Thanks for knowing my desire.

Detroit Red Wings on New Year's Eve and what must be changed

Just a few hours left until the New Year.

Towards 2019!  Collie and Rose were at Little Caesars Arena in Midtown Detroit.

The ice hockey game will begin soon. The energetic stage effects are making a large crowd much more excited.

The game was started now!

Granted, I am feeling relaxed here after I've worked tensely in Japan, and it's grateful to have someone next to me.

While I am feeling stressed and having a lot of overtime at work, being around someone who is generous, accepting, and grateful brings out those qualities in us, too. Clearly, he is generous and giving.

During the intermission between the games, we walked around. Let's get some fresh air. ＾＾

We took our seats again. Wings of Detroit Red Wings are flowing on the ice. The game was resumed.

At odd times, there is a fun event that couples caught by the camera have to kiss! 💑  People can see it on the screen. This is so American😲  Even if you are not a big fan of ice hockey, you can enjoy being here.

We left the rink before the end of the game to head back home before the roads got too crowded.

Hahaha..^^  They are not real. There seems to be a lot of hotties in Detroit Red Wings team.

I stood behind them. 😄   But you know, Collie is my love.

How do we celebrate the countdown for the New Year? We talked about it. We could buy pizza if we can find a pizza shop that is still open, however, we might not arrive home before 0:00 if we do this.

"I will make small pizza with English muffins!", I suggested.

Though I did put toppings on crackers. Collie just arranged crackers on the plate, but I did extra things. And my act was both unnecessary and unattractive.

I appreciate I can be here with him at the special moment. Sparkling wine was sweet like Collie.
I like dry one... but it's OK.

On the next morning, I did something unnecessary again...

I made chicken and vegetable omelette. I woke him up, and said, "A breakfast is omelette♪"

He said, "Do I have no choice?"

I made a mistake. Asking him to make me a breakfast, or take me out to somewhere for breakfast, is far better.

When he gets food ready on his way, I just enjoy them just as they are. Yes, I'll never add dried strawberries nor cheese on crackers.

I learned, and sure, I got attractive as much as I stop doing unnecessary things on him. Do you know what I am talking about?
