PJAZZA - a Roman touch Helsinki restaurant I visited on Friday night

I walked to the pizza restaurant for my dinner as I planned. It is very closed to my hotel and suitable to enjoy a modest luxury though the prices are high in Finland when you dine out. On the arrival day in Finland, it was a pretty good choice.

You are almost there. Can you see the yellow flag on the right-hand side?

There was a couple who were looking into the menu on the outer wall. I also looked it through, but
entered the restaurant almost directory!

Let's celebrate the first night in Helsinki!  I ordered a glass of sparkling wine☆

It is a cheerful Italian-style restaurant full of local Finnish people.  Cheerful, what's more, trendy.

PJAZZA http://pjazza.fi is in the heart of Helsinki.

DIAVOLA      spicy salami   tomato source   mozzarella   basil

There was not a half-sized pizza.  So, this is the one I ordered.  I ate all of it by my self!!!
It was salty, and dense. However, I might not have felt like that if I had devided it into 2 or 3 people.
BIG finger food to go with wine, right? ww

Food with a Roman touch*
The pizzas are made in accordance with Italian tradition with original recipes.

I came back to my quiet room of the hotel St.George.
I like a Finnish chair with simple and practical design.

A provided pillow also makes me feel I am in Finland.  It's a long day.  It is about time to go to bed...

I had a pleasant time at the traditional Italian pizza restaurant in Finland. It was an interesting night.

Still not many, but surely there are people who read my blog somewhere in the world. It encourages me to continue with it.

It is time to step out of my comfort zone.

I'd been posting a blog in Japanese for many years, but I decided to write it in English on the new website. English is my world. I will try to improve my English over a lifetime.

Always challenging. Sometimes it's hard. What's important is to keep going.

Legendary Belgian chocolate CAFE~TASSE ❤︎ MINI TABLETTES / MINI BARS

Hello, everyone. :)   How did you spend your Valentine's Day?
Speaking of chocolate, Belgian chocolate is so special to me!

CAFE~TASSE   MINI TABLETTES / MINI BARS

It reminds me of a small soap provided as one of the amenities when I stayed at the hotel.
I am more of a chocolate bar lover than round one bite chocolate.

CAFE~TASSE means "coffee cup" in French.

An authentic piece of chocolate to accompany your everyday coffee.

Kraft paper wrapping is very hot with a classic design, isn't it!?

Artisanal chocolate made in the pure Belgian tradition from a nature-friendly material.

Which one should I taste this time?  It's a pleasant time.  My life is enriched by small chocolate bars.

I recommend CAFE~TASSE MINI TABLETTE / MINI BARS http://cafe-tasse.com to everyone.
It is a special premium chocolate for me❤︎

Happy Valentine's Day!

In Helsinki at dusk, I hung around looking for S-Kioski.

I should've bought my travel card in Helsinki Vantaa International Airport before coming to Helsinki Central Station by Ring Rail Line!

I thought I could get it easily because the Day Ticket is to use in Helsinki. It is a convenient ticket you can ride a tram(streetcar), subway, bus, public ferry by that. I was going to buy a 3-day ticket.

But, I missed going to R-Kioski at the Helsinki Central Station.

I took a rest for a while at the hotel St.George, and then asked a hotel clerk where I could get a Day Ticket. He kindly brought a map and circled some possible places by pencil.

I expected the shop I could explain what I wanted to a salesclerk, but shops must have been closed as it's already around 7 o'clock in the evening. I just found a dark shop without light, I didn't even know that was R-Koski or not. Later I found a vending machine perhaps for a certain ticket, but I didn't understand what it really was.

Helsingin Tumoiokirekko (Helsinki Cathedral).
It is located almost in the center of Helsinki and described a symbol of Helsinki.

I gave up buying my Day Ticket tonight and started looking around the area near my hotel.

Elongate windows. I think it is a noticeable feature of the buildings or houses in Helsinki.

Indeed, a city of Helsinki gives me a feel as if I were walking the streets surround by castles in medieval Europe.

I will get my Day Card tomorrow morning. I saw a vending machine at the station platform of Helsinki Central Station. Time is counted from the purchase time, so I should buy it shortly before I ride a tram for the first time tomorrow.

I finally reached St.George, such an elegant hotel in central Helsinki!

This... is it!!!

This is the hotel ST.GEORGE which caught my eyes and I felt "I definitely want to stay here!" when I was searching for the hotels online in Japan.

Besides being located in a central Helsinki, ST.GEORGE creates a gorgeous ambience with a feel of  Finland.

Once I reached it, I could come into there naturally and check in at the lobby smoothly. The hotel clerks were all sophisticated. How beautifully Finnish people speak English!

At my room. The glasses are "iittala"♪  I won't drink hotel's wine to save money, but let me use a wineglass to drink beer or something I will buy at a local grocery store. - Later, on this trip. :)

Playful Pepper in Michigan【photographed by Collie】

Hi❤︎  Saturday morning here in Japan. Today, I show you a unique dog that Collie's mother has.

The sofa cover's come off on the carpet.  Oh, he did it!

Look at this arch look on his face.  He is full of fun!
Pepper is a really playful dog being loved by everyone.

Sunny day for February in Tokyo. I think about Michigan, and will start my day peacefully.
Bye for now... Rose

I can't reach my hotel in Helsinki. I got lost in Finland!

From Helsingin Rautatieasema (Helsinki Central Station), I was walking to my hotel optimistically.

It is going to be fine, Rose.  I'm already close to my hotel♪

But it occurs when I lost my concentration... I got lost!!! I should have kept my focus up to the end.

Even while I'm lost, how charming and quaint the streetscape in Helsinki is!

It might be my hotel!  I approached...and found out it's not.

In Helsinki, every building looks like a castle and it's hard to know where I am until I get familiar with the area.

Eventually, I got back to the place around Rautatientori (Station Square).
Looking closely at my map again, I orient myself in the city of Helsinki.

All right. Getting lost is also a good experience on a journey.

Let's start all over again!

Gum Ball Pink Designer Hypericum Berries

Isn't it soooo cute!?  It is not a flower, but a berry.  This tree in berries is called hypericum.

Since this plant is known for its healing properties, these lovely berries can be symbols of cheer and inspiration to someone in your life.

The flower language of hypericum berries is Protection, Clarity, and Good Health...

When I just passed by the flower shop along the street, I couldn't help buying those unique flowers, actually, berries.

There seems to be red, green, yellow, peach, orange etc. besides pink according to the literature.

This plant is resistant to cold and hot weather, I see, which symbolizes its flower language.

Would you like to find your color of hypericum berries for yourself, or for someone special?
