I am still proud of Japan.

I've read some news Japanese people are accused of spreading coronavirus here and there, around the world. Still, I feel Japan has a great history and art. Of course Japan has good sides and bad sides.

A building built over a railroad station is decked out with cherry blossoms.
I was impressed by followong videos. Making use of the present bitter experience, I hope Japan will resume peacefulness and attract numerous visitors from all over the world more than ever.

Oh no! Kanniston Leipomo is closed on Saturday!!!

My guide book said Kanninston Leipomo is open on Saturday. So I was going to have a coffee & cinnamon roll for breakfast there.

I left Hotel St.George and started walking towards Kanninston Leipomo, which information fascinated me with a Finnish cinnamon roll. What is it like? 😍 I get excited just thinking about it.

It's a clear and very pleasant morning♪

The road runs alongside Vanha Kirkkopuisto(Old Church Park). What a wonderful location Hotel St.George is built in! There is such a place for relaxation and refreshment just across the street.

Again, I took a photo of the blossoming tree. Maybe I haven't seen this plant in Japan.

Then, I crossed the street...   Here it is!   Oh???

Kanniston Leipomo is closed!!!!! 😱  Oh my!!! 💦

Oh, that's too bad~~~~~.  I thought Kanniston Leipomo in Annankatu is open on Saturday.
All right, I'll come back here again during my stay in Helsinki. I will stick to this plan.

I'm taking off.  Let's enjoy walking in the park instead. When you travel, the unexpected is sure to happen.

Changing the plan is one of the real pleasures.

Old church Park in the morning was really peaceful and beautiful.

In my mind, there is another place where I can enjoy Finnish cinnamon roll.   Plan B!

All sold out due to coronavirus! So I made a face mask myself. :)

A face mask can't avoid virus. But I needed it in case I cough or sneeze. It's common courtesy to put it on one's face when it happens. Face masks are already sold out, so I decided to make it by myself. I got a pair of cotton 100% handkerchieves and a ball of white wool, which is antibacterial. Wow! A dollar shop is great!

And... My challenge has started☆

Finished!!!!!    Finally it's done!!!!!    |(^o^)/〜〜

My lovable face mask💖

This became my precious one. A washable mask that I can wear again and again♪♪♪
I just wanted one for me.  I have one now!   I can feel relieved.
I'll keep it in my bag from tomorrow😊

Do you want to make a mask that you can wash and use repeatedly?  Oh... I know it requires some time...but once you made it, I'm sure it would be your original LOVELY one.

a March photo of my calendar is Michigan!

Hey! Did you change the calendar!? March has started!

I turned my month-by-month calendar on the wall and...

found it's Michigan!

Dramatic sunrise at Lake Huron. The rock has eroded over thousands of years due to waves.

Spring is almost here. I feel like, it's already here🌸
I'm hoping spring will come soon in Michigan, and in your countries, too...
Full of the joys of spring,

PJAZZA - a Roman touch Helsinki restaurant I visited on Friday night

I walked to the pizza restaurant for my dinner as I planned. It is very closed to my hotel and suitable to enjoy a modest luxury though the prices are high in Finland when you dine out. On the arrival day in Finland, it was a pretty good choice.

You are almost there. Can you see the yellow flag on the right-hand side?

There was a couple who were looking into the menu on the outer wall. I also looked it through, but
entered the restaurant almost directory!

Let's celebrate the first night in Helsinki!  I ordered a glass of sparkling wine☆

It is a cheerful Italian-style restaurant full of local Finnish people.  Cheerful, what's more, trendy.

PJAZZA http://pjazza.fi is in the heart of Helsinki.

DIAVOLA      spicy salami   tomato source   mozzarella   basil

There was not a half-sized pizza.  So, this is the one I ordered.  I ate all of it by my self!!!
It was salty, and dense. However, I might not have felt like that if I had devided it into 2 or 3 people.
BIG finger food to go with wine, right? ww

Food with a Roman touch*
The pizzas are made in accordance with Italian tradition with original recipes.

I came back to my quiet room of the hotel St.George.
I like a Finnish chair with simple and practical design.

A provided pillow also makes me feel I am in Finland.  It's a long day.  It is about time to go to bed...

I had a pleasant time at the traditional Italian pizza restaurant in Finland. It was an interesting night.
