French Toast Breakfast & My Detroit River Walk

Hi... Unusually for me, I made French Toast😊

Kind of...I just winged it in my own way!

I soaked sliced soft French Bread in egg and milk mixture in a plastic container, and left it overnight in the fridge. I might have used soy milk...or blended it with milk. Moistened bread was cute♬

And two days later, I fried half of the remaining slices, until more golden brown this time. I didn't have maple syrup, so I poured "oligosaccharide" onto French Bread. It was a lovely breakfast❤︎

Where should I go today?

Gotanda  RIVER  STATION

I call it "Detroit River Walk" on my own😄   I will go straight on this road along the Meguro River.
Please visit my blog again to see a continuation of this walk😉💕
Bye for now, Rose

foodium, Maison Kayser, and the townscape just like Birmingham, Michigan.

Last weekend, I couldn't update my blog because I was sick in bed. :<  This weekend, I have an energy to do it, so let me tell you about a day when I had fun exploring around my place.

Foodium  Higashi Gotanda
It had been one of the places I'd love to go since I saw the atmosphere on Google Street View. Because it is like U.S.A.!

Maison Kayser  Gotanda Store
I was pleased when I knew a shop of Maison Kayser that I love is in my town, too! The natural yeast bread with original flour and hight-quality butter is baked using traditional French recipes.

Everything looks amazing❤︎

Then, I walked around. I wanted to know more about this area, which is within walking distance from my place.

My heart was deeply moved. "I feel as if I were in Birmingham!" The townscape of the area is great, just like Birmingham, Michigan. At least, it's not Japan for me. Whenever I come here, I can always feel as if I was traveling, or living in the US.

I walked the opposite side of Meguro River on the way back. There is a lot of greenery... Come to think of it, these must be cherry trees! Beauties show up in each season. I was happy to have found such a nice walkway in my new town.

I will take good care of myself. I hope you are doing well during this difficult time.   Rose

I'm trying to eat more fish. My recent examples at the restaurant and at home are...

Recently, I am going to work once a week. I think of it like a chance to have a delicious lunch around my office. Believe me, this assorted seafood rice bowl is absolutely good!

Inaniwa-udon Tenchaya Nanakura 稲庭うどん 天茶屋 七蔵
Shinbashi Ekimae Building1  2F 2-20-15 Shinbashi Minato City Tokyo 105-0004

A simple shop in a retro-looking building known for thin, flat, and deliciously chewy noodles with a salty tsukemen dipping. You can add a seafood rice bowl to go with your noodles. I always choose this bowl in the above picture from bowl options. An assorted seafood rice bowl(ばらちらし丼)is hands down the best bowl for me! If you go to Nanakura for the first time, I definitely recommend you to choose it.

More details about Nanakura: https://trulytokyo.com/nanakura/

I am trying to eat fish at home, too.

I cooked mackerel in a pan😄  Rice with mixed grains, cabbage salad, and green onion & seaweed soy soup on the side. I can eat fish at home easily if I try😅  I will try to buy fish for my health.

I tried sushi lunch near my living place.

Tairyo Zushi 大漁ずし
7-5-1 Nishigotanda Shinagawa City Tokyo 141-0031

It was an unpretentious Sushi Restaurant. The sushi is like, I could eat it every day. I think I'll come back here again and try other dishes.

Today, I introduced some of my fish meals. There are a lot of restaurants I'd like to try around my area. I'm so excited! However...less dining out than before. This will save money, right? 😘

I will introduce restaurants I newly visited. Hope you're gonna love it.
Good weekend!  Rose

Graceful! Paris Mansion & NY APARTMENT along the railroad tracks in Tokyo

I walked towards Meguro Station along the railroad tracks from my condo. There was a reason for that. Before the move, I was exploring the further area from my future living place on Google Street View. I found foreign fascinating buildings and wanted to see them with my own eyes. It's about 20-minute walk from my place, I guess?

Here it is!

See?  It is a graceful building, isn't it?

Not just classy, but like...it has been gradually becoming more polished over time.

It's located along the railroad tracks and about 2-minute walk from Meguro Station. This house is used for a photographic studio, "STUDIO EASE".  I want to see inside!

Can you see that it says "Paris Mansion"? The name of this house is Paris Mansion. Wow!

And just a little walk further to the right, another classy building named "NY APARTMENT".

NY APARTMENT 3-1-1 Nishigotanda Shinagawa-ku Tokyo 141-0031

This house is used for furniture rental service, "EASE NEW YORK".

When I first started looking for my new place to live, I hoped to live near Meguro Station, however, the room I found timely was one station away. I thought of it this way. I don't live near Meguro Station, but I can enjoy the atmosphere whenever I walk to the area. And I've been doing great!

Then, I walked to the Ebisu Station. I bought a piece of carrot cake at DEAN & DELUCA in the station building. It was a day I walked a lot. Phew, I walked my legs off. It is all right, after a nice long stroll, a pleasant tea break with my carrot cake is waiting when I eventually get home.
