End of Summer, Shedding, and Detroit.

Summer is over. Looking back, what I accomplished this summer, or this year? I just have been working hard, but I'm not sure if I can say I live my life to the fullest. I'm trying to study English continuously without knowing if I am improving my skill...I know it's still not good enough.

Vaccination is still on going in Japan. The 4th shot had started and 5th shot, followed by that... While Covid-19 is declared to be over in the USA, how much longer will experimental Japan continue vaccinations? Now Japan is the trash of the world. Unvaccinated people are more likely to die? It is wrong. Rather, people are dying not because of Covid-19, but because of vaccinations. Excess deaths in this August are very big since the 3rd shot started. The government nor TV never broadcast an inconvenient truth. I am suffering "shedding" from the vaccinated. This is what the clinical trial of a novel coronavirus vaccination shows.

Collect information on one's own.  Don't blindly believe what the Government nor the doctors say.

Collie sent me a photo from Detroit. It is great that there are 100 Japanese cherry trees in Detroit. Good to know Toyota has been a sister city of Detroit since 1960. Oh, I didn't know that "TOYOTA" is named after Toyota, a city in Aichi prefecture in Japan!

Time will pass while my mind is in Michigan but I live in Tokyo... Well, I'll just have to do what I can now.        "Welcome, Autumn."

Hands down the best oven-baked Bolognese with Rigatoni @Bagatto, Gotanda

There is a cozy restaurant in the basement near my condo that I sometimes visit for lunch. I think this restaurant's top recommendation is Bolognese with Rigatoni baked in the oven!

Yummy cheese melted in the baking dish and hot ingredients will definitely satisfy your stomach.

The appearance seems to depend on the day.  This looks delicious too and actually, delicious❤︎

All lunches with simple green salad, focaccia, and drink are 995yen including tax. You can have free refills for home baked focaccia.

Grilled pork shoulder with balsamic sauce. It was outstanding! Bagatto is an Italian restaurant, but has a high reputation as a meat bar also. It's convincing that online review says "reasonable, but high quality".  At the cash resister, I couldn't help saying "It was delicious." to the restaurant clerk.

Peperoncino with plenty of summer vegetables. A large portion of pasta is free. It is a powerful spaghetti plate!

Drink after the meal is served with a small bar of Italian chocolate. Adding a glass of wine or sparkling wine to the lunch order makes your time leisurely luxurious. If intrested, search by "Bagatto Gotanda" to see Google reviews.

a cool spacious complex - GATE CITY OHSAKI

I walked to GATE CITY OHSAKI from my condo to explore the huge complex connected to OHSAKI（大崎）station.  Looks like a very new building.  I came here to look around and have a light meal sitting back with a cup of coffee.  https://www.gatecity.jp/about/index_en.html

I wanted to enjoy McDonald's burger, French fries, and coffee at the above seat because it looked fun when I saw pictures people uploaded on the Gourmet website.

yeah! It must have been great to relax with a meal while looking a spacious view like this.

However...

The area of seats & tables was closed. Because it was Sunday, or to prevent the spread of Covid-19?

Actually, it was summer of 2021. I'm not sure if the seats are available now. People are still wearing musks even while walking outside, and another kind of more vaccinations seem to come. 

So...I try to enjoy visiting cafes closer to my condo.  I will share the pictures with you sometime. 

Chinese noodles at Ishingo 維新號 vs. Rice vermicelli soup at Bifun Azumaビーフン東

I do like this Chinese noodle soup topped with Chop suey (fried pork and seafood with vegetables)!

Ishingo 維新號 in Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo is offering Chinese specialties in a simple dining room.

The noodles and a variety of ingredients are in pale salty broth. It is so tasty!

You can also ask the restaurant to make your Chop suey noodles in soy sauce flavored soup. This is also delicious! 

However, I should avoid overeating "gluten", so I'm trying bifun (rice vermicelli) at other restaurant.

Bifun Azuma ビーフン東 is a long-established simple restaurant in Shinbashi, Minato City, Tokyo. Rice vermicelli soup with pork, various vegetables, and seafood etc. is great, and you can order fried bifun (rice vermicelli) with those same ingredients. I like both style.

Which type of noodles do you like?  Well, looking at pictures is making me hungry and made me want to eat it again...

Charming ANGELINA shows up from time to time at the pop-up store in Gotanda Station.

 ANGELINA!  Wow, a new store of ANGELINA opened at Gotanda atation!?

Mont Blanc of ANGELINA from Paris is my favorite. How happy, I can get it at my town from now, but it's also a struggle with temptation...! While I didn't buy it, the store had gone. Later, I knew it was a pop-up store.

On the contrary, it's not so bad. If there is a chance to see such a tempting Mont Blanc every time I exit the ticket gate, I can't help buying it.

I missed it, but ANGELINA came back to the pop-up store again. I tasted it after a longtime and realized nothing beat this. I can't wait for the next time already. The mood of Mont Blanc must be even more great in autumn.

One Drink Free with 3 vaccinations for Covid-19 at FRIDAYS in Gotanda until 9/30(FRI), 2022!

TGI FRIDAYS Gotanda is showing a mellow atmosphere on the road along Meguro River. The classic building is nice with greenery as well as a calm ambience.

Maybe I'll try NACHOS sometime as variety toppings like melted cheese, vegetables, guacamole, and sour cream looks good. Which kind of drink you'd like to enjoy when you have NACHOS? 

What?  One free drink if you are vaccinated 3 times for Covid-19??  If so, you can get one free drink any number of times during the period until 9/30 (FRI), 2022!

I'm sorry, but I can't receive that benefit.  Instead, my benefit is living healthy longer without side effects from mRNA vaccine in the name of clinical trial.  －  Because I'm unvaccinated. 

August sunset & pink moment in Oxford, Michigan

So...Collie often sends me photos taken in Michigan. I post some of them on my blog to convey beauty of Michigan to my dear readers. If I live in Michigan or not depends on his decision.

Collie says he prefers to live near the lake. He loves being tranquil place. On the contrary, I am more of a city lover. But I think I understand how he loves a place rich in nature like this.

Oxford seems to be a place he wants to find a new house to live in. I hope the day will come soon. 

I am enjoying city life in Tokyo. I'm thinking about quitting my job earlier to live a meaningful life. What was my purpose in this earth? What I can do to enrich my life? Earning money devoted my time to the company was needed to save money to live, but I don't need to stick there until the last minutes, otherwise I will lose my precious time for doing what I like. 

I 'm thinking about above-mentioned things these days. I'm not sure the day I'll fly to Michigan will come. Even if I will stay in Japan for good, I should do what I want to do. With my present life overtaxing my eyes where I'm so fatigued every day, I can't study English as I like. 

My purpose is English. If I can't have a life in Michigan, I will fulfill my dream in Japan!
